Phantom 4 Advanced with top-notch video performance

Sponosored AD

Few days before Easter DJI has officially announced a new member of their quadcopter family – Phantom 4 Advanced. Let’s discover what brings new and if it’s worth to upgrade.

In my opinion, like the Phantom 3 Advanced, this P4A was also developed in order to offer an affordable alternative to the “Pro” edition. This time DJI kept the high-end video performance and cuts from the intelligent flight modes. The Phantom 4 Advanced does not feature rear vision sensors and infrared sensors.

Similar to the rest of the series, the Phantom 4 Advanced comes with the same sleek and elegant look. Nothing new in terms of design.

According to the advertised specs, thanks to the 5870mAh battery, the Phantom 4 Advanced can stay airborne up to 30 minutes.

Thanks to the more powerful video processing, now the P4 Advanced is capable to record H.264 4K videos @ 60fps or H.265 4K @ 30fps videos, both with in up to 100Mbps bitrate.

Frankly, instead of an upgraded P4, we all expected from DJI a completely new product line. There will be an event on April 23rd where the DJI Spark will be officially announced but I wonder if Phantom 5 will be out then too.
