DJI Drones Out of Stock in the US? Here’s Where to Buy One

Starting June 23, 2025, DJI’s official US store shows every drone — and more — as out of stock. The entire OSMO series, including the Action and Pocket models, is also unavailable. A few weeks ago, DJI launched various offers to clear out its US stock, and their new Mavic 4 Pro model was never even made available on the American market, despite being highly anticipated by many fans of the brand.

Toward the end of President Biden’s term, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) ramped up inspections of DJI shipments over concerns about possible forced labor in certain Chinese factories.

DJI has strongly denied the claims, saying their drones aren’t even made in the regions CBP flagged. Still, the situation has made it tough for DJI to keep their products flowing into the US, leading to ongoing stock problems for everything from drones to OSMO cameras.

Unfortunately, DJI consumer drones are the best on the market, and frankly there is no other American or foreign brand that can compete with their performance.

How to Purchase DJI Products in the U.S. Right Now

Amazon, Best Buy, and other official retailers such as Adorama and B&H Photo still have limited stock for many DJI products. Unfortunately, this shortage will lead to price increments and will favor imports from gray markets. You can also opt for second-hand drones; there are many on sale for a good price, including the DJI Mini 4 Pro and Air 3S.

Importing DJI consumer drones from Canada or Europe to the U.S. for personal use is usually fine, but there are a few important things to keep in mind. When you bring a drone into the country, you have to declare it at customs and might have to pay some taxes or fees. Also, the FAA requires most drones over 250 grams to be registered before flying, so make sure you do that. Some DJI models might face extra restrictions because of trade rules, so it’s a good idea to double-check that your drone isn’t affected by any import bans. Overall, as long as you follow these steps, bringing a DJI drone from abroad for personal use shouldn’t be a problem.
