iFlight MegaBee HD SucceX Mini-E with DJI FPV

iFlight MegaBee HD SucceX Mini-E FPV drone with DJI FPV

The iFlight MegaBee HD SucceX Mini-E is probably one of the first ready to fly drone which features DJI’s professional grade digital FPV system. Of course this top-end hardware has its own price. The PNP version of the MegaBee HD Whoop with DJI Air unit is advertised for $400.

FPV quadcopters have been on the rise for the last few years but before DJI’s new digital FPV system, image quality was poor and also were issues with long range transmission. Older guys like me, probably still remember the huge change made by switching from analogue to digital television. Not just the image quality was significantly improved, but also the reception stability. Furthermore, on the same frequency band, they were be able to transmit lots more TV channels.

iFlight MegaBee HD Whoop comes with XING 1408 motors and BLHeli_S 35A 4-in-1 ESC. The motors are paired with Gemfan 3″ propellers.

Need to be completed

In case you consider 400 bucks too much for such drone, I have bad news for your. In order to explore its full potential, you will need to spend lots more. While the DJI Digital FPV goggles is sold for $529, the DJI transmitter is almost $300. At the end, the total budget will be around $1300 with flight batteries. In case you don’t want to use a DJI remote, you have BNF options with FrSky R-XSR, FrSky XM+ or TBS Crossfire Nano RX radio receiver.
