Bluetti Elite 30 V2 Review: Compact Yet Versatile Power Station

Truly Smart Backup Battery (286Wh | 600W) with 200W Solar Input, Weighing Just 4.3 kg (9.48 lbs)

When BLUETTI launched the Elite 30 V2 in 2025 as the successor to the popular EB3A, it immediately caught my attention. Part of the Elite V2 series, this compact power station brings together smart features, stronger performance, and a sleek design — available in six stylish colors perfect for life on the move. At just 4.3 kg, yet delivering 600 W of continuous power, it’s surprisingly portable without sacrificing capability. Whether you’re heading off-grid for an adventure, taking a long road trip, or preparing for unexpected power outages, the Elite 30 V2 proves to be a versatile, reliable, and stylish companion for modern living.

Personally, I use a power station for powering outdoor fun when camping, charging drone batteries during longer flight sessions, as backup power for my communication rack, and for the heating circulation pump. With a built-in rapid UPS feature, the Bluetti Elite 30 V2 is suitable for most situations, but you should consider that the 288Wh capacity will limit your backup time.

A 600W portable power station simultaneously powering an action camera, a drone battery charger, and a laptop

One of the biggest drawbacks of older UPS units was their high self-discharge rate. Even without any load, a 1000Wh unit could lose up to 50% of its charge in less than a day, mainly because internal inverters consume anywhere from 25W to 50W just sitting idle. The Bluetti Elite 30 V2 changes the game. Thanks to its next-gen UltraCell™ technology and intelligent thermal management, system power draw is cut by 50%, with standby consumption as low as 4.5W. That means your stored energy stays where it belongs—without wasting precious runtime.

Bluetti Elite 30 V2 hands-on review

Disclosure: I received this compact power station in a product review collaboration with Bluetti. Product specs and quality may vary according to the manufacturer’s reliability, so I cannot guarantee that you will get a unit that performs the same as seen in my review.

BLUETTI has steadily built a reputation for delivering reliable, portable energy solutions — from compact power stations to serious home-backup systems — all while keeping quality, versatility, and durability front and center. Their product offering spans a broad spectrum: outdoor-friendly models for camping and van-life, rugged systems for emergency backup, and full-scale energy storage solutions for homes and businesses.

What really caught me off guard was the weight and size. Compared to the 2 kWh units I’ve handled before, this one feels almost feather-light. Originally, I ordered the classic Bluetti blue, their signature brand color. But due to stock issues, I ended up with Meadow Green—and honestly, I’m glad I did. It looks fresh, modern, and blends perfectly with outdoors.

At a Glance and What’s Inside the Box

The Bluetti Elite 30 V2 arrives neatly packaged with everything you need to get started: an AC power cord, an XT90 to car cigarette charger cable, a grounding screw, and a user manual.
However, one thing to note—there’s no solar panel cable included. It’s a small omission, but having it in the box would’ve been a nice touch, especially for users planning to charge off-grid right away.

The Elite 30 V2 measures 250 × 178 × 167.5 mm and weighs just 4.3 kg. It features a comfortable top handle, making it easy to carry and maneuver with one hand—perfect for quick setups, travel, or outdoor use. The DC charging ports (car cigarette and XT90) and AC input socket are covered with a rubber flap that prevents dust from entering.

The Elite 30 V2 features ventilation holes on the sides, and it’s important not to cover them to ensure proper airflow. Even under full load, the unit runs remarkably quietly, making it suitable for use—even while sleeping—in the same room.

Power Your Way: Inputs, Outputs, and Connectivity Options

At the center of the front panel, you’ll find a color status screen with a layout similar to other Bluetti power stations I’ve reviewed. On the left side, from top to bottom, there’s the XT60 PV (solar) input, a car power outlet port, and two 12V/5A DC5521 ports. Just below the LCD screen, beneath the illuminated DC, Power, and AC buttons, are four USB ports:

 • 140W USB-C
 • 2 × 15W USB-A (5V/3A)
 • 100W USB-C

Depending on your region, the Elite 30 V2 features either one 220V AC outlet or two 110V AC outlets on the right side of the front panel. The AC input port is located on the right side of the unit, alongside the grounding terminal, making setup straightforward and accessible. It delivers a pure sine wave AC output (photo below – test with MUSTOOL Oscilloscope), ensuring clean and stable power—critical for sensitive electronics like laptops, medical devices, and audio equipment, which require consistent voltage to prevent damage or performance issues.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Connectivity for Smart App Monitoring

While Bluetooth is designed for short-range, in-room connectivity, Wi-Fi offers cloud access, enabling you to monitor and control your E30 V2 power station from anywhere in the world. This combination of features ensures you have full control and real-time insights, whether you’re at home or on the go.

The Bluetti App offers a comprehensive dashboard that allows you to view the status of all your devices at a glance. It allows you to:

 • Upgrade the Elite 30 V2’s firmware.
 • Monitor the BMS for any errors.
 • Select charging modes: Standard, Silent, or Turbo.
 • Configure working mode and UPS type.
 • Access detailed energy statistics.
 • Toggle DC and AC outputs on or off.

Expected run times

I copied the runtime table from my BLUETTI AC200L review and couldn’t help but smile — most of the values were reduced by almost ten times. It’s a good reminder that runtime is proportional to storage capacity, not output power — a common mix-up for many users when comparing portable power stations.

When used as a UPS, enabling “Memory Mode” allows the unit to automatically restart once AC power is restored. You won’t need to turn it back on manually — a small but essential feature for truly uninterrupted operation.

The BLUETTI Elite 30 V2 offers a continuous output of up to 600 W, which easily covers most everyday electronics. Some devices, however, draw a higher surge when starting up — that’s where Power Lifting mode comes in. When enabled through the BLUETTI app, it allows the unit to handle short bursts of up to 1,500 W, ideal for resistive loads like heaters, kettles, or hair dryers. It’s a handy feature that gives you extra flexibility without compromising safety or efficiency.

I tested the E30V2 with a 650W hair dryer, and it impressed me. Despite the heavy load, it never went into protection mode and continued to provide continuous AC power for a solid 20 minutes.

Device Power usage Usage time
Smartphone 15Wh 16 times
Laptop 60Wh 4 times
Starlink internet receiver 30W 7 hours
DJI Mini 5 Pro drone 19Wh 12 times

Bluetti Elite 30 V2 vs EB3A: What’s New, What’s Not, and Is It Worth the Upgrade?

Visually, there’s a clear difference between these two power stations. To be honest, the EB3A’s design already felt somewhat outdated at the time of its release. Now, three years later, alongside the improved features, a design refresh was not just welcome — it was necessary. Now, the E30 V2 is available in six colors, while its predecessor was offered only in black.

While the older EB3A relied solely on Bluetooth, the new model adds Wi-Fi connectivity, letting you monitor and control it remotely through the BLUETTI app — a small upgrade that makes a big difference in everyday use. Power output has also seen a nice bump, jumping from 1,200 W to 1,500 W, and the noise level has dropped dramatically, from about 50 dB to just 30 dB. On top of that, there’s roughly a 10% increase in battery capacity, which translates to a little extra runtime when you need it most — whether during an outage or a long weekend off the grid.

bluetti-elite-30-v2-review-compact-yet-versatile-power-stationThe BLUETTI Elite 30 V2 is the first power station I’ve ever rated a full five stars for design — and it truly deserves it. BLUETTI absolutely nailed the aesthetics this time, offering the unit in multiple color options. My Meadow Green version looks especially fresh and modern. Sure, you can’t have both ultra-portability and massive power output, but with 288 Wh of capacity and 600 W continuous output, it strikes the perfect balance. It’s ideal for photographers, drone pilots, or anyone who needs to keep essential home devices like a CPAP running smoothly.
Why I Like It
✔ Fresh design
✔ Compact and portable
✔ Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity
✔ Up to 200W solar panel charging
✔ For USB ports with up to 140W/port

What You Should Be Aware Of
✖ Can't power high wattage devices
✖ Limited runtime
