Bluetti Premium 30 V2 vs Elite 30 V2: What’s Actually Different?

600W|288Wh vs 600W|320Wh

Today at work, I received a Bluetti Premium 30 V2 portable power station to serve as a backup power source for live press conferences in the field. When I first saw the box, and later unboxed the unit, I was immediately confused. The packaging and branding looked different from anything I had seen before. Curious, I even asked ChatGPT to compare the Premium 30 V2 with the Elite 30 V2. To my surprise, it insisted that no “Premium 30 V2” model existed and suggested I must be referring to the Elite 30 V2. After I pointed out that I was literally holding a Premium 30 V2 in my hands, it apologized and claimed it was probably a regional branding variant with identical specifications. As it turned out, that wasn’t entirely correct either.

To make sure we hadn’t received a counterfeit unit, I added the power station to the Bluetti app, which immediately confirmed that it was a genuine product. It’s worth mentioning that both models feature Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing remote monitoring and configuration from virtually anywhere with an internet connection. Furthermore, the app provides a convenient way to manage all your Bluetti devices from a single, intuitive interface.

After checking Bluetti’s regional websites, I discovered that both the Premium 30 V2 and the Elite 30 V2 are available through the EU store. However, in the United States, only the Elite 30 V2 is currently listed. This suggests that the Premium 30 V2 may be intended primarily for the European market, which could explain why information about it is relatively scarce online.

Before the Bluetti Premium 30 V2, we used a 20,000 mAh power bank that was equivalent to 74 Wh. Since we needed it to provide longer runtime for the connected camera and YoloLiv streaming unit, we decided to look for a higher-capacity power solution. One of the advantages of power stations over traditional power banks, even when they offer similar storage capacity, is the built-in inverter that allows AC output, not just USB DC ports. This makes them far more versatile for powering a wider range of equipment in the field.

Bluetti Premium 30 V2 vs Elite 30 V2: Detailed Side-by-Side Comparison Table

When I put the Bluetti Elite 30 V2 side by side with the Bluetti Premium 30 V2, the contrast was striking. The Elite 30 V2 features a distinctive green finish with white labels, while the Premium 30 V2 comes in black with red accents. However, the input and output ports are identical, and the status display appears to be exactly the same.

After carefully reviewing the specifications of both models, the only noteworthy difference is the battery capacity. The Elite 30 V2 offers 288 Wh, while the Premium 30 V2 increases that to 320 Wh, providing approximately 11% more runtime. Both models feature a 600 W continuous output and up to 1,500 W Power Lifting capability, making them equally capable of powering a wide range of devices.

Bottom line

While the Bluetti Premium 30 V2 offers approximately 11% more battery capacity (320Wh vs 288Wh), it also carries a significantly higher retail price. If you do the math, the P30V2 has $1.09/Wh and the E30V2 $0.83/Wh. Both power stations share the same 600W pure sine wave inverter, 1,500W Power Lifting capability, UPS functionality, charging performance, and port selection. Unless the extra runtime is essential, the Elite 30 V2 currently appears to offer the better value for money.
