Based on my experience, after a few crashes, drones start to fly abnormally even if there are no visible damage. Performing gyro-calibration can solve sideward flying or other flight disorders of your VISUO XS809HW.
Lately, I have received many emails regarding how to calibrate the VISUO XS809HW drone, so I thought it would be helpful to make a step-by-step tutorial about it.
You can restore the drone’s factory settings in two different ways, either using the remote controller or through the XSW UFO APP. Both ways are described in the XS809HW user manual.
Resetting the VISUO XS809HW through the remote controller (steps that need to be done)
- Turn On, both the remote controller and drone;
- Place the XS809HW drone on a horizontal surface;
- Bind the transmitter with the drone by pushing the throttle stick (right one in mode2) to the highest position and then pull it back to the lowest position;
- Final step is to move both sticks to the outer lower position (like in the picture above) for about 2-3 seconds. LED lights will start to flash rapidly. That’s it, now the drone is recovered to its original factory settings and ready to fly again :)
Calibrating the VISUO XS809HW through the phone APP
Calibrating the VISUO XS809HW through your phone is even more easier. After you connect to the drone with your phone (WiFi bind), you need to enter the settings menu (as shown in the picture below) and select the “Gyro calibrate” icon. Like in the case of manual calibration, the LEDs will start to flash rapidly, then steady On.
I have a Visuo Zen K1 – it flew OK last year, now I go thru the start up, and it revs up for 10 to 15 seconds but will not lift off. What am I doing wrong?
hello! can you help me please? my drone visuo 816 saddenly can t transmits wifi. my phone can t see drones wifi. i try with other smart phone and not again. the control also is dead after 3 beep.when i push on button dont open red leght(new battery) .the drone when i turn on the switch open the lights are blinking slowly.when i open phones wifi and search can t see drones wifi…..i work fine my drone about 2 years.

Well I have made a very stupid thing to try the Visuo inside my home and it crashed down on the floor. The problem is that right now, when I switch on, one propeller is not working and I really don’t know what was broken. If I try to move it with a finger I observe that it has not the same resistance of others.

WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE GEARS THAT DRIVE THE PROPS THERE IS A TINY DRIVE GEAR NEXT TO THE MAIN DRIVE GEAR THAT HAS A TENDENCY TO POP UP AFTER A CRASH. TAKE A FINGER NAIL AND PUSH THE SMALL GEAR DOWN TO RE-ENGAGE THE GEARS. HAPPENS OFTEN AFTER WRECKS
My problem with a visionary farmer, which will not be connected to the camera. the wi fi is connected and the camera will not. I calibrated with the steering wheel and there is no help. the flight is fine. lp.
You should turn on drone,bind the controller to the drone . Then on your phone go to wifi connect.. go on the app then click play..is should work
When I use the app, everything is in black&white even when i’m recording, but the pictures are in color. Do you know what may be the problem?

Hello, one of the propellers turns even with the switch off on the drone/controller. The only way to turn off is to remove the battery. Tried resetting but didn’t work, Tried flying but seems like that prop isn’t turning fast enough and drone just flips over.
the back left (b) propeller of my VISUO XS809HW drone does not turn of even with the switch on both drone and controller off. Was flying good until it landed and prop kept moving but not at full power strange. tried resetting but same please help, only stops when battery is removed.

I’m afraid that is something wrong with the flight controller / receiver board. Also could be a short-circuit. An un-soldered wire, you should take apart the VISUO XS809HW an do a visual inspection. BTW, the power switch is a “software” button, does not truly disconnect the battery.

Good morning ….. can you help me to connect the battery of my Visuo drone. I see one of the propellers starts to turn even if the drone is with the little plug off ……. know to solve this issue?

Great! Fixed my issue going to the left side immediately after take-off.
When I push takeoff, mine spools up and then immediately starts flying to the right, then shuts down. It then wont do anything without being completely shut down and re-started, where it goes into this takeoff crash bootloop again… any ideas?
