Hubsan X4 AIR Pro (H501A) GPS quadcopter

Hubsan X4 Air H501A drone

Hubsan X4 AIR Pro aka Hubsan H501A

Three days before Christmas Hubsan announced another interesting model of the X4 series called H501A. This new model comes with a nice black finish design with a big golden “X” letter on front, probably inspired from Xmas :).

Thanks to the GPS positioning system, the Hubsan H501A drone features smart flight mode like: Follow me, Orbit mode (Circle hovering) and Waypoints missions.

In front of the aircraft is located a 1080P (Full HD) camera which allows to take photos as well to record aerial videos.

The Hubsan X4 AIR quadcopter can be controlled through you smartphone (APP control) and also by using a nice FPV transmitter.

According to the specs, the up to 20 minutes flight time is achieved using a 2700 mAh battery.

Frankly, based on my good experience reviewing the tiny H111D I would like to test this new Hubsan X4 AIR too.

  1. Hi Jeff
    I m Kito from Singapore.
Like you I’m also interested in the H501A but not sure how good/reliable it is.
Pls do share with me if you do have more info on this drone.
    Tks

  2. For a while now I’ve been planning on buying the H501S, but recently learned of the H501A. I’m a little concerned about the app flight control. For some reason I expect that there will be a lag in the FPV to the phone and through the controls. I also read some reviews on the Parrot Bebop that said the signal cut out quite a bit through their flight app. So I’m wondering if you can give me some insight on to how the flight control for the H501A will be through the app. Will it have control lag, video lag, how strong will the signal be, etc. I like the 501A as it has more features and is cheaper, but don’t want to buy a drone if its going to be to clunky to fly.

    Regards,
    Tyler
