The 4DRC F13 (F-XIII Rambler) comes with some top-notch features for a reasonable price. In addition to the handy folding design, it comes with an advanced 360° obstacle avoidance system. 4DRC Rambler F13 I purchased due to marketing specs and price from Alibaba w/2 extra batts under $300. Story shortened, my 1st drone and 1st time purchase at Alibaba was the worst shopping experience in my life as of now(I’m 48). Saving a couple hundred dollars order thru Alibaba, a HORRENDOUS & simply terrible company…don’t do it.
As for the Rambler F13 app 4DRC Pro app installed on my iPhone 14 Pro Max but NO connection no matter the several recommendations by 4DRC rep. iPad Pro 12.9 5th Gen connected and worked no problems. I had 4 flights, 2 flights at minimal 1-2 mins flight in my garage. The 3rd flight with fully charged batt, 10+ minutes of 4K video w/a few 8K fotos, awesome, easy & enjoyable flight for a noob. 4th flight after a few mins flight, the Low Batt alerted me on the remote, lost control due to Return Home feature designed to autonomously return back from take off point. Estimated 20 minutes flight with full charge batt was about what I expected. Return Home feature due to low batt and/or lost signal are the features of my drone purchasing “Must Have’.
The drone took control, hovered still momentarily then elevated quickly to crash diving to cement road 30+- feet below. Return Home was a fail and I would assume a defect from stated & marketed feature of autonomous safe return. Damages on body was a surprised minimal cosmetics, rear of body housing the battery near attachment of right rear arm had a slight separation. The arms can fold but internal damage to that section was evident. The camera glass shield popped off completely along with object detection. The obvious damages were the jagged propellers and body scratches. The drone can still fly, estimated maybe 30%, motors all work, camera & video seem fine, aside no longer having glass shield.
The crash was 6-7 days before 30 Days Buyer Protection from Alibaba stated policy. I contacted the seller with no intentions to refund but an exchange in Defective Return Home Feature. Free repairs only and I had to pay for shipping to China and back(maybe under $200 SH). Quite, unfair and took much to not show my temper. I contacted Alibaba and I’m within my 30 Days Buyer Protection, requested a refund.
All and all I dealt with a terrible experience and at the end, …I have a broken by defect Return Home feature (ironically was the reassurance Must Have feature in spending $300 for my 1st drone) drone in my garage collecting dust and $300 added to MY Lost pile!
…but,….I do have 10mins flight in 4K video of really having a good & fun time flying.

I have already tried everything on 3 mobile phones. The mobile phones do not receive a signal from the drone! Control and drone are switched on.
What are we doing wrong?
