Beta95X V3 brushless Whoop for Insta360 SMO 4K

The new Beta95X V3 is the first FPV drone specially designed for the SMO 4K camera. Actually, this ultralight action cam was developed by BetaFPV in partnership with Insta360.

Its newly designed pusher Whoop style frame is made of high-quality PA12 material, which can dampen noise and vibrations and have high abrasion resistance, bringing the drone in a more durable flight and no fear of damage. The EVA foam padding gives you extra safety when you are accidentally bumping into something. The inverted design puts all the cameras and batteries on the top of the platform, makes the center of gravity right in the middle of the drone, bringing the best fly operability.

According to your existing transmitter, you can opt to purchase the Beta95X V3 drone in a bundle with Frsky FCC, Frsky LBT, or TBS radio receiver. Of course, there is also an option for the PNP package (no radio receiver).

BetaFPV claims that you can have up to 4.5 minutes of flight time with 4S/450mAh battery. I think this flight time will be reduced to half in case you mount on top the SMO4K camera.

The V3 series Beta95X Whoop is equipped with the newly released F4 AIO Toothpick brushless flight controller, it extremely reduces the weight while improving the ability of the ESC to continuous current 20A.

Equipped with 1106 3800KV brushless motors and Gemfan D63 5-leaf propellers, it brings a stronger power and a lower noise, which will give to the pilots an unprecedented flying experience.

Price and availability

Starting with December 17, both versions of Beta95X V3 can be ordered from the BetaFPV and Banggood. While for the digital version (Caddx Nebula Nano HD System) you will need to pay $279.99, for the analog edition only $179.99.

  1. Hello guys!
Need a recommendation to choose a small and light FPV drone.
Please advise me which CineWhoop is better: BetaFlight x95 v3 or Iflight Protek 25 ?
I have DJI FPV Goggles, so I’m thinking to go with a digital version and built-in FrSky radio.

  2. I’ve decided to switch from DJI Mini to an FPV drone. I really appreciate to give me some advice.
I guess cinewhoop is good for me and I consider to buy this Beta95x. What do you think is a good starter drone?

  3. I just received this Beta95x and I wanted to set it up. I powered it up with a 4s/450mAh battery. After only a few minutes become super hot. Is this normal?

    • Usually, for the configuration process, I connect only the USB cable. With the battery plugged in, is supposed to fly and the airflow cools down the electronics. A 200mW VTX can generate lots of heat if is on the ground for just a few minutes…

  4. Looking to buy my first FPV drone. I’m a “buy it once, but it right” type guy. Been considering the Beta95x V3 with the SMO4K camera but I would like something that flies longer than 4 minutes at a time. Should I look for a larger 5″ drone If I need 10-15 min?

    • My custom settings give me aggressive flight performance with smooth creamy footage and I get 4+ mins on a 4s 850mah, landing at 3.5v using upgraded 1207 5000kv motors.
