Mavic Mini combo vs standard: What are the differences?

Mavic Mini Combo vs Standard

As you could read in my hands-on review, the Mavic Mini is available in two package options: “Standard” and “Fly More Combo”. Let’s find out what you get for the extra 100 bucks!

Both Mavic Mini box options come ready-to-fly with an included transmitter. As its name says, the “Fly more combo” is dedicated to those who need extended flight time – not just flying once in a month. Combo comes with 3 batteries, charging adapter and two-way charger which allows to charger 3 batteries in a sequence. It also includes two extra pairs of spare propellers and a carrying handbag. In contrast, the “Standard” comes with the bare minimum to get your flying – not even includes a charger adapter.

Final Thoughts

Black Friday is already knocking at the door and we all hoping to catch some nice Mavic Mini deal. From the savings, you could buy a memory card or spare battery, but in order to be ready to pull the trigger, you have to make the decision which package options fit more for you. For the extra $100, the Fly more combo pack gives you accessories in value of $160 plus bonus carrying case and 18W fast charger, not bad at all!

  1. Just purchased a used Mavic mini with a fly more package. Can I buy a DJI care refresh for it? Or it works only with new drones.

  2. I was ready to “pull the trigger” and purchase a Mavic Mini Fly More Combo… but after reading all of these horror stories after the most recent update, I’m having second thoughts now. Any info yet from DJi about to fix this?

  3. Is the DJ1 Mavic Mini combo a good purchase for a first-time pilot? We have 500 acres and would like to monitor the cow and fields.

    • Yes, the MINI is a great drone for beginner pilots. And the ‘Fly More Combo’ box will give you more than one hour of flight.

  4. I recently purchased a DJI Mavic Mini Combo drone with Care Refresh and was curious about video editing and other useful apps.
Third-party apps like Litchi will make voids the warranty?

    • First, you need to install and download the DJI fly APP on your mobile device, connect the transmitter to the phone and power on the drone. Follow the steps for the APP.
      Enjoy your flight!

    • Sadly I missed the Amazon Prime Day deal on the Mavic Mini Fly More Combo. Any chances for similar sales for Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

  5. hi. I recently purchased a Mavic Mini Fly More Combo. I also bought a few additional accessories. The fly more combo includes a blade guard, how necessary is it to use it? I can’t seem to fit them into the carrying case too

  6. I like the combo’s two-way charger. It can be used as a power bank to charge your phone. Actually it is recommended to half charge your Mavic Mini batteries for long term storage. Never store them fully charged or near empty.

    • As I know, Mavic Mini Bundle is an unofficial release. It includes standard box content plus a charging base and one extra battery.

  7. The combo is a no brainer. I like the batteries and charging system more then I thought I would. Also, the blade guards are must have for indoor practice.

  8. My budget is limited, so I need to stuck with “standard”. For those that already purchased the $399 Mavic Mini (non-fly more) is one battery enough for you?

  9. thanks making things clear!
please could you also explain what’s the difference between DJI Care Refresh and Care Refresh+, besides the price of course.
