KKTICK Tank T6 : Refined Design, Offline Maps, and More!

While smartwatches are not exactly FirstQuadcopter’s main niche, we occasionally accept products like this for review. The Tank T6 is the second KKTICK (DTNO.1) device we’ve reviewed here, allowing us to see how the brand is evolving with its latest release. Besides the refined design, we also aimed to test whether there are any improvements in GPS performance, battery life, health monitoring, and sports modes.

Rugged sports watches are usually bulky and heavy by design, built to handle tougher environments. Interestingly, the KKTICK Tank T6 takes a slightly different approach. While it still carries the rugged identity of the series, it is actually quite thin and lightweight compared to many watches in this category. Of course, it’s not as slim or fashion-oriented as the Apple Watch Series 11 or the Samsung Galaxy Watch8, but it manages to balance durability with a more refined and comfortable form factor.

KKTICK Tank T6 review

Disclosure: I received this rugged GPS smartwatch in a product review collaboration with KKTick (DTNO.1). Although I received the product for free, all opinions in this article remain mine, and the sponsor did not influence me.

The Tank T6 comes in a similar cardboard box to its predecessor and includes a user manual and a magnetic USB charging cable. The first thing I noticed when unboxing it was the new, more stylish and less bulky design compared to the T5, along with the smaller charging adapter. It immediately felt like a more refined, modern version, even before powering on.

The watch is made from lightweight metal, offering improved durability compared to the previous version. It features a 1.43-inch AMOLED full-view color touchscreen with a 466×466 px resolution, protected by tempered, explosion-resistant glass.

Out of the box, it comes with a 24 mm-wide black silicone strap measuring 260 mm. The KKTICK Tank T6 weighs approximately 65 grams, including the strap, maintaining a balanced feel on the wrist without being overly heavy.

Both controls — a small rotating dial and a push button — are positioned on the right side of the watch, making them easy to access during daily use.

On the back, there are two distinct sets of eight small contact points. The set in the center houses the health monitoring sensors, while the second set, positioned closer to the edge of the watch body, serves as the magnetic charging contacts. The Tank T6 GPS smartwatch is powered by a 500 mAh battery that promises up to 15–20 days of typical use or 30–35 days of standby time. The charging time is approximately three hours.

What’s Inside the KKTICK Tank T6?

The KKTICK Tank T6 is built around the JL ATS3085S chipset and features 4GB of internal memory. For positioning and outdoor tracking, it integrates the Loda AG3352B GPS module, paired with the MXtronics MSP880N barometric pressure sensor and the DA267 accelerometer, ensuring accurate positioning data and reliable motion detection.

Heart rate monitoring is handled by the TYHX3918 sensor, providing continuous tracking for both daily health monitoring and sports activities. Together, this hardware configuration provides a solid technical foundation for the smartwatch’s navigation, fitness, and health-focused features.

As alternatives, the GUHUAVMI DT G1 and DT NO. I DTG6 smartwatches feature similar hardware inside.

Mobile App Companion: WearPRO

The KKTICK Tank T6 is designed to work alongside the WearPRO mobile app, which supports multiple wearable fitness devices. Once paired, the app becomes the main hub for managing and customizing the watch.

Through WearPRO, you can configure features such as incoming call alerts, SMS notifications, Bluetooth calling, and other smart functions. The app also allows you to upload additional watch faces and download offline maps, expanding the watch’s functionality beyond its default setup.

Sports modes

Like its predecessor, the Tank T6 is marketed as offering more than 100 different sports modes, covering both indoor and outdoor activities. The sports modes are neatly divided into five main categories: Outdoor Sports, Fitness, Ball Games, Water Sports, and Others. This structured layout makes browsing simple and intuitive, so you can quickly find the activity you need without endlessly scrolling through a long, unorganized list.

The KKTICK Tank T6 goes beyond basic workout tracking by capturing your activities with a solid level of detail. Each session includes essential metrics such as duration, average heart rate, calories burned, and other relevant data, giving you a clear overview of your performance.

For outdoor workouts, the built-in GPS records your route, allowing you to review where you’ve been, check your pacing, and analyze your overall effort afterward. This added layer of tracking makes the T6 suitable not only for casual fitness monitoring but also for users who appreciate more structured performance insights during their training or outdoor adventures. All previous sports activities can be reviewed under the “Sport History” menu, sorted by date and duration. Each track displays the activity type, start time, duration, average and maximum heart rate, calories burned, and other specific details, including a map when available.

These days, many of us keep a small garden — not just for organic vegetables, but also as a way to relax and, surprisingly, get a serious workout. What starts as light yard work quickly turns into full-on cardio. It would be great if smartwatches included a “Gardening” sport mode. After digging 100 square meters, I’d really like to know how many calories I burned — because it definitely feels like a gym session. 🌱😄

Built-in GPS and Offline Maps

As mentioned before, the KKTICK Tank T6 supports uploading offline maps through the mobile app. This feature can be very helpful if you plan to travel in areas with no data connection. Thanks to its generous internal memory, you can upload multiple maps without any problem.

Usually, in case the weather allows, I prefer to walk to work. It’s a pleasant 3 km route along the river, where swans, cormorants, and wild ducks are a common sight.

To test the battery life and GPS performance of the Tank T6, I selected Outdoor Sports, then Walking. A start screen appeared with a red GPS icon, indicating that I needed to wait for a satellite fix before the watch could begin logging my route on the map. From a cold start, the icon typically turns green in about 2–3 minutes. On a hot start, however, it takes only a few seconds—even indoors near a window.

The 30-minute walk, with regular checks of the watch’s screen, drained about 5% of the battery. This suggests that with a full charge and heavy use, the watch could last roughly 10 hours.

Pricing and availability

The KKTICK Tank T6 smartwatch is now available for purchase through the official online store, with a retail price of $99.99. By subscribing to their newsletter, you can receive a 40% discount, bringing the price down to just $59.99. Additionally, the offer includes a pair of TWS earphones and a silicone sports watch band at no extra cost.

Who Is It For?

The KKTICK Tank T6 is a strong choice for anyone searching for an affordable smartwatch that blends rugged durability with a design that isn’t overly bulky. It feels equally at home on a mountain trail as it does in everyday city life, offering a practical balance between toughness and comfort.

The ability to download GPS maps makes it especially appealing for outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, or discovering new routes. After your workout, you can export your activity to Strava and share it with others, which adds a nice social and motivational element.

With built-in heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring, it tracks your health during workouts and even while you sleep, covering the essentials most users expect from a modern smartwatch.

In addition to the standard features, it includes built-in games, a decibel level meter, a weather forecast, and sports courses. However, it’s probably not the best fit for dedicated Apple users who are deeply invested in the Apple ecosystem. If you’re used to seamless iPhone integration, contactless payments directly from your watch, and that smooth, connected Apple experience, you might feel that something is missing here.

KKTICK Tank T6 vs KKTICK Tank T5: What’s New?

The Tank T5 was released in July 2025, followed by the Tank T6 in January 2026. As you can see in the photo below, the new KKTick smartwatch features a more stylish, refined design compared to its predecessor. It also feels less bulky on the wrist, making it more comfortable for everyday wear. Unlike many rugged watches, it doesn’t feel like wearing a heavy, oversized piece of equipment; instead, it strikes a nice balance between durability and modern aesthetics.

While the older KKTICK Tank T5 is made from high-performance hard plastic, this new version uses lightweight metal, giving it a much more premium feel. The change in materials is immediately noticeable, making the watch feel more solid and refined, while remaining comfortable enough for everyday use. To be thinner and lighter, the T6 uses a smaller 500mAh battery compared to the older model’s 860mAh. The T6 has a much smaller charger than the T5’s circular charging pad.

The T6 lacks a built-in LED flashlight, which was a distinctive feature of its predecessor. While this may not be a dealbreaker for most users, it is worth noting for those who appreciated having a small emergency light directly on their wrist.

Both smartwatches feature a wide range of sports modes, besides built-in GPS that supports offline maps. They also include essential health-tracking features such as a heart rate monitor and a blood oxygen sensor. These functions make them suitable not only for outdoor activities and workouts, but also for everyday health monitoring.
