DJI Mini 2 combo vs standard: Which one to buy?

DJI Mini 2 combo vs standard

Yesterday, DIJ’s smallest 4K drone was officially revealed. Like most of their products, the DJI Mini 2 is also available in two package options: “Fly More Combo” and “Standard”. Let’s find out what you get for the extra 110 bucks!

In a nutshell, the ‘Standard’ box comes with a minimal set of accessories required to fly the drone, and the so-called ‘Fly More Combo’ Kit includes additional accessories such as spare batteries, a charging hub, more spare propellers, and a deluxe shoulder bag.

Extra flight batteries are always welcomed if you fly the MINI 2 not just once in a month but, like an enthusiast videographer, almost every day. With one battery you can fly up to 31 minutes in optimal conditions. The Fly more combo will allow you to fly for about 80-90 minutes with two short rests till you swap the batteries. On top of all, the combo’s charging hub can work as a power-bank allowing you to charge your phone too.

The bonus shoulder bag was specially designed for the DJI MINI 2 and it can carry all your accessories along with the drone and its transmitter.

  1. The combo just mean u get more batteries….charging port and a bag…if you need them go with combo if not, save your money and get the standard mini 2

  2. It is smarter to get the ‘fly more combo’. You get lots of extra stuff. Two extra batteries, three batteries total plus multi-charger, extra blades, plus more, and a nice case to carry it all in. I say you won’t go wrong with this pack.

  3. I love my Mini 2. It is the perfect introduction to the drone world. Fly More Combo is a must! Best value for your money!

  4. My birthday is next week. I have been dropping hints like a crazy fool to my wife for a mini 2 fly more combo. Do I need all the stuff from this kit? Or I should get Standard edition and save some money.

  5. I crashed my DJI FPV drone today and repaired it within 1 hour. I have tons of spare parts (ordered from China). It is cheaper than Care Refresh…

  6. I am looking to buy a Mini 2. I was wondering if the fly more combo is worth the extra money. Also if I truly need DJI Care Refresh

  7. Hello guys,
Facing a battery issue with my brand new DJI MINI 2 fly more combo drone. Each battery gives a max of 15 fly time, or even less. I think the normal battery life should be above 25 minutes. Any solution?

  8. I’m saving for a mini 2 fly more combo as my first drone. I have come across a really good deal on the older mini fly more combo ($340 cheaper). Would you recommend going for the mavic mini, or waiting more for the mini 2?

    • I’m also looking for my first drone, from what I understood the mini 2 has a lot more benefits, and it’s really worth the extra money. I think it also upgrades something with the GPS signal that is more stable and can go a lot further (OcuSync 2.0 this thing I think)

  9. My present come today. Can’t wait to have a play with the Mini 2. I got a combo pack, should I always charge all 3 batteries or only the ones I need for the next fly session.

  10. Hello guy! I want to buy my first quadcopter!
Should I buy the DJI mini 2 with or without the combo accessories? Actually, a regular guy needs 3 batteries every? And is it worth the care refresh plan?

  11. So I’m about to get my first quadcopter, it being the Dji Mini 2 Fly more Combo (best value for your money).

What are the most common extra accessories I should look out for? Landing pad, ND filters, Card reader, prop guard, anything else?

    Based in Germany
    Cheers
