Drocon Cyclone X708W cheap drone for beginners

Drocon Cyclone X708w beginner drone

Like I promised last week, here I am with the next Drocon drone, the Cyclone X708W. Compared to the Bugs 6, the Drocon Cyclone X708W is a basic model with brushed models and limited functionalities.

When it comes to beginners I suggest not to invest a lot of money into something they can crash at first flight. Sold for only $55, the Drocon Cyclone X708W seems to be a nice learn-to-fly quadcopter.

Excepting altitude hold, it features all the latest features (like: headless mode and one key return to home). During night flights you will be assisted by four LED lights, one under each arm (blue ones in front and orange ones on back).

Drocon Cyclone X708W features and specs

  • 720P camera with WiFi real-time image transmission;
  • Dual speed rates (High and Low);
  • Headless flight mode;
  • One key return to home;
  • Acrobatic 3D flips;
  • LED lights for night flights;
  • Up to 100 meters control range;
  • About 8 minutes of flight time.

According to the manufacturer’s specs, the X708W has up to 8 minutes of flight time. The 550 mAh Li-Po battery is swap-able, so in order to have more fun time you can have couple of spare charged ones.

In the above video, iKien shows how to prepare the Cylone X708W for your flight.
