Equipped with PTZ 3-axis 4K gimbal and featuring up to 26 minutes of flight time, the new upgraded ZLRC SG906 Pro 2 seems to be right now the best Mavic Air 2 alternative under $200. In addition to the frontal 4K camera, there is a second one on the belly which serves as an optical-flow positioning sensor.

The ZLRC Beast SG906 Pro 2 is powered by a 7.4V/3400mAh battery that allows more than 25 minutes of airborne time. According to the rumored specs, the control range is around 1KM and the FPV range is a bit shorter (~800 meters).

Vloggers will appreciate the gesture photo/video modes and instant social sharing. The second-generation SG906 Pro 2 is also capable of intelligent flight modes such as surround orbiting and autonomous waypoint flights.

In order to be more packable, similar to Air 2’s transmitter, the SG906 Pro 2’s has removable sticks. On the bottom of the remote controller, there is a status LCD screen that shows telemetry data like flight distance, flight altitude, RC signal strength, and number of satellites found.

On the front panel, beside the usual control sticks, you have four control buttons. From left to the right, you can find RTH, Speed switch, Video, and Photo. On each side, there are two shoulder buttons. While left ones are Headless mode switch and One Key Start/Landing, the right one allows you to move the Gimbal Up/Down.

HOW DO I GET A SWEDISH INSTALLATION MANUAL FOR MY SG906GPS Smart Drone, hope for tips from you. MVH MICHAEL !!!!

  2. I recently bought the ZLRC SG906 Pro 2 Beast and I love it! My issue is that I can’t seem to Live Stream from my drone. I’ve tried AZScreenRecorder and PRISM Live apps, but Safari won’t allow me to login while WiFi is connected to the drone. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  3. I have been flying my ZLRC SG906 Pro 2 Beast on and off since Christmas. Then this weekend I took it out. I was flying it with no problems. I put it away for a bit and then took it out to fly again. This time it wasn’t able to connect to the WiFi and the WiFi would not show up in my list. I hope that someone can give me some ideas of what I can do. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the HFunPro app and still nothing.

    • Hi Henry, I bought my ZLRC SG906 Pro 2 Beast a few weeks ago, and I’ve had the same issue. The only solution I’ve found is to “Forget this Network” in my WiFi settings, then reconnect. Oh, I use an iPhone, by the way.

  4. I have the SG906pro and like it but wish it had the 3 axis gimbal. Also, wish it was a little better quality video to the phone but the video using an SD card looks great. Other thing is the gimbal needs to be a little smoother moving up and down, it’s a little twitchy. For the price though you can’t beat this drone. I’ve heard a lot of people compare it to the mavic mini but that’s like comparing a Camaro to a Ferrari, a huge price difference. If someone is just starting out I would recommend this drone. Final thought, be careful with the joysticks, they will become loose over time and fall out. I glued mine in with a little hot glue and just leave them in. Pushing them in and removing them so much will eventually make them become loose sonic you can leave them in I would suggest it.

  5. Hallo, is er iemand die weet via welke freqentie de telemetriegegevens op het scherm van de controller komen, is er up/down communicatie op zowel 2,4 ghz en5,8 ghz?
Hi, does anyone know what frequency the telemetry data is coming through on the controller screen, is there up / down communication on both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz?

  6. Took my ZLRC SG906 Pro 2 out for a flight today, Finally sunny weather after a week of rain. The first 5 minutes were Ok than lost connection and crash it. Luckily it was at a low altitude so no major damages

  7. Hello, I have a question regarding ZLRC. Will ZLRC be coming
out soon with 4th generation SG906? I’m in market to buy a drone, did research SG906
Pro 2, would like to know of ZLRC’s next generation drone
    Thanks in advance

    • Please, give more details… Difficult to help! What means “turn on”: front LEDs lighted, blue display showing status… or nothing happens when pressing the switch?
Check first if the controller voltage is OK: should be around 6 volts at terminals.
Warning: smartphone must have Wifi AC (5g) to connect to receive video from the drone.

  8. I am pretty impressed by the ZLRC SG906 Pro 2 drone. Both flight range and battery life are better compared to the first edition. In its price range I would rate it 10/10

  9. besides the higher capacity battery and 3-axis gimbal, there are other upgrades compared to the original SG906?
