When FirstQuadcopter.com was launched, everything revolved around drones. In those early days, gimbals meant one thing to us: drone camera stabilization. We wrote about 2-axis and 3-axis drone gimbals, vibration dampening, yaw drift, and how proper stabilization could transform shaky aerial footage into something cinematic. Hands-On Testing, Not Just Specs

What defines our gimbal reviews is simple: we test what we write about. We balance the cameras, walk with them, run with them, shoot in wind, low light, and long sessions. Testing so many stabilization systems over the years taught us that no gimbal is “perfect” — only right for a specific use case. A lightweight smartphone gimbal excels at travel and vlogging, while a heavy mirrorless rig demands power and precision. Technology evolves fast, but the fundamentals remain the same: balance, motor control, and intelligent software.
