When FirstQuadcopter.com was launched, everything revolved around drones. In those early days, gimbals meant one thing to us: drone camera stabilization. We wrote about 2-axis and 3-axis drone gimbals, vibration dampening, yaw drift, and how proper stabilization could transform shaky aerial footage into something cinematic. Over the years, we tested a wide range of image stabilization gear — from entry-level gimbals for beginners to professional tools used in commercial productions. Some impressed us with innovation, others taught us hard lessons about marketing hype versus real performance.

Hands-On Testing, Not Just Specs

What defines our gimbal reviews is simple: we test what we write about. We balance the cameras, walk with them, run with them, shoot in wind, low light, and long sessions. Technology evolves fast, but the fundamentals remain the same: balance, motor control, and intelligent software.
